Q: Can I send VVB my CV to keep on file?
A: Please click the ‘apply’ button against the relevant position on the vacancies or emerging talent page, upon doing this you will create a VVB account so you can monitor the progress of your application.

Q: Will I receive an acknowledgement that my application has been received?
A: Every application is acknowledged via e-mail and you will be able to monitor progress of your application by logging into your account.

Q: How can I update the information or CV you hold for me?
A: You can log in to your account and update your personal details or your CV at any time.

Q: Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
A: You can apply for as many jobs as you feel match your experience and skill set.

Q: How often is the careers site updated?
A: Our Current Vacancies page is updated daily with new positions and any positions filled will be removed.

Q: Why was my application rejected?
A: We receive many applications per day, and therefore have to apply specific selection criteria to each position. A rejection should never be taken as negative and final. We will retain your details and assess your CV against future positions, provided you are registered with us. We also urge you to review our career pages regularly for new positions that we upload.

Q: What selection criteria are usually applied?
A: The selection criteria varies on the position you are applying for but is mainly assessed on education, qualifications, skills and experience.

Q: What are the key steps of the recruitment and selection process?
A: Each applicant will apply to the relevant role on the website adding their CV. The application will then be reviewed by our recruitment team. The recruiter will use selection criteria to identify the strongest candidates for an initial telephone interview. If successful, you will be invited to a formal interview with the recruiter and recruiting manager. This is usually face to face and lasts around an hour. If successful, you will be progressed to a second face-to-face interview. If successful, the recruiter will pick up the offer negotiation process and liaise with their HR colleagues to issue an employment contract to you.

Q: How long will the selection process take?
A: We aim to review all applications within ten working days and respond to you directly within 28 days.

Q: How long will my details be kept by VVB?
A: Your details will be retained for a period of 12 months, unless specified otherwise. For more information on stored information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Q: Is my personal information secure?
A: VVB have processes, methodologies, technologies in place to preserve the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. If you feel that your personal data held by us has been compromised in any way please contact recruitment@vvb-eng.com and this will be investigated in line with our company procedure.

Q: What should I do if I suspect that I’ve received a fictitious job offer or have been targeted by an employment scam?
A: Please contact recruitment@vvb-eng.com immediately. We will investigate and respond to you directly with our findings. It’s important we know about these situations so we can alert our legal team, and post a notification on our career site to warn other potential candidates who have concerns.
